George Schricker Introduction
Joining us today is Songwriter, Storyteller, and Poet, George Schricker (Shrick-er) of Plymouth, Indiana.
A graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in the School of Speech; Mr. Schricker, has taken his art into the world of performance. He has been performing his original songs, stories, and poems to children and adults since 1982. Mr. Schricker has written over 500 songs and has 7 commercial recordings of his music for children and adults. He has just released a new CD of meditative songs and poetry entitled, "The Space."
Most recently, George traveled to Newfoundland, performing for 2 weeks with children and adults in schools and libraries. Recently he performed at the Juan de Fuca Festival in Port Angeles, Washington. Other performance highlights include The Field Museum in Chicago, The Indianapolis Children's Museum, and hundreds of schools and festivals across the Midwest.
